Man found stabbed to death in park in Acacia Ridge, Queensland

A man was found stabbed to death in a park in Brisbaneis in the south.

The 22-year-old man was found with stab wounds to his chest in a park on Mortimer Rd in Acacia Ridge about 12.10am on Sunday.

Paramedics treated the man in the park, but he could not be revived.

“There were a lot of people here in the park,” Acting Inspector Craig McDonald said.

“It appears there was an altercation and the victim was stabbed.

“There are a number of people assisting detectives with investigations.”

Queensland Police say a man known to the victim fled the park before officers arrived.

There is no ongoing threat to the public, McDonald said.

Anyone with relevant information is urged to come forward.
