A driver wearing a banana suit is wanted by police after allegedly causing a burnout and injuring a man during a trial in Canberra.
Emergency services were called to Copper Crescent in Beard at around 9.10pm yesterday to reports that a man had been hit by a tire which had come loose from a car which was on fire.
Paramedics treated the 21-year-old man and took him to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are searching for the alleged driver of a gold Ford Falcon sedan covered in graffiti.
They believe he was wearing a “banana suit and balaclava at the time”.
