Domino’s Pizza brings back its crowd favourite Double Decadence Crust after popular demand

Domino’s Pizza is reviving one of its iconic favorites due to overwhelming fan demand.
The Double Decadence Crust is officially back at the popular pizza chain.
Available starting today, pizza lovers can enjoy the Double Decadence Crust for just a $4 upgrade on any Domino’s Large Pizza.

The new crust option mixes two types of cheese (cheddar and parmesan) sandwiched between two crispy pizza bases topped with a layer of mozzarella cheese.
Hundreds of comments have been made on social media platforms over the past few years asking Domino’s to bring back the Double Decadence crust, which was first introduced to the Australian market in 2004 as a limited time offer before reappearing in late 2010 .
In December, one social media user wrote on Domino’s Facebook page: “I miss the double dip. Please return it.
Another commented: “Thanks Domino’s social media team! Now I’m hungry.”
Michael Treacy, Domino’s head of product development and innovation, highlighted the timeless appeal of this irresistible combination that first captivated pizza lovers more than a decade ago.
“For those who long for the taste of yesteryear and the ultimate in comfort food, we’re thrilled to welcome back the cherished double decadence,” said Tracy 7NEWS.com.au.
He added, “each bite promises a burst of flavours, with the sumptuous cheese sauce delicately oozing from the base as you sink your teeth into the pizza.”
In response to the overwhelmingly positive reception on social platforms, customers can upgrade their favorite Domino’s large pizza with a decadent crust for a limited time.
Domino’s ANZ Chief Marketing Officer Alan Collins expressed his delight at meeting customer demands.
“While some pizza trends come and go, our Double Decadence Crust remains as popular as ever,” he said.
“True pizza aficionados recognize that great pizza starts with an exceptional base, and this crust, packed with flavor and cheese, stands out as a crowd favorite.
“We even had a customer diligently post on our social channels every day for an entire year, begging for its revival – and at Domino’s we always keep our promises.”
Customers can order the Double Decadence crust either in-store, on the Domino’s app or online through the Domino’s website.
The re-introduction of the new crust is aimed at increasing sales and driving market growth for the chain. Double Decadence originally launched in Japan in 1997.
